YOUR HOME. YOUR LIFE. YOUR WAY.

TWO-BEDROOM SEASIDE APARTMENT

WHO LIVES HERE:

+ Young professional couple.

BRIEF:

+ Create a clean, fresh look that is contemporary and not too feminine.

+ Create the feeling of space and openness as the bathroom may be used by the two owners at the one time, especially in the mornings!

+ Use modern finishes.

+ Needs to be cost conscious as the budget is limited.

OUTCOME:

+ Colour palette of white, chrome finish and charcoal tiles gave a clean, crisp and masculine feel to the bathroom. Also, sleek, streamlined surfaces were used to provide strong lines and maintain a contemporary look (see vanity, tap ware, shower, toilet).

+ To create more space, an oversized mirror was installed on wall directly opposite entrance (above toilet), the bath was removed (as it was hardly used by the owners) and an open shower was installed with a seamless glass frame.

+ Glossy white large wall tiles were laid to reflect light. A feature wall of textured white tiles were used to create visual interest in a predominately white interior.

+ Storage was hung on wall and removed from floor (see vanity and wall unit). This created the feeling of more space.

+ The layout and design of room remained the same to avoid expensive labour costs in restructuring the plumbing.
